 iWayMail Administration Tools

1. District Administration Tools >> The administration tools provide a web based access to control the operation of the Email system and provide access to statistical and performance data.

The District level administration tools can be used to create and manage Site Administrator accounts.

The District level administration tools can also be used to create and manage individual account status and data.

Building level Site Administrators can add, delete, activate, deactivate or modify any student Email account at their site.  If the content filtering feature of iWayMail is active, the Site Administrator gets copies of any problem Emails from the students at her/his building.  << 2. Site (Building) Administration Tools
3. Mentor Administration Tools >> Mentor or "Help Desk" administrators can add, delete, activate, deactivate or modify any student Email account.

Smooth Transition to iWayMail

Transition to iWayMail >> Faculty members are able to read mail from existing mail accounts on other systems. By entering their mail account information from their existing accounts on the mail accounts they used to use, for example a "HotMail account", all their mail is delivered via their iWayMail "In Box".

Creation of Email Accounts

Interface for the Batch Creation of Email Accounts >> The initial creation of Email accounts is done by creating a delimited text file for both the faculty and students from the existing school administration computer.  This text file  contains the names, building code and email account type along with other identifier info.   The account creation software creates the accounts with unique id's and  passwords.   Email parameters including content levels, storage quotas and account status can be set based on the account information.
On a periodic basis, an updated list is generated from the District's administrative computer.  It is run against the existing accounts in the Email Server to add and/or delete users; to update building and other user information.
